The Frontal 3-D Imaging Method for Ultrasonic Intravascular Endoscopes

The Frontal 3-D Imaging Method for Ultrasonic Intravascular Endoscopes

Here is a Japanese Edition

abstract

We suggest a new ultrasonic imaging system using a ring array probe
which enables to obtain 3-D frontal images instantaneously. In this
system, spherical pulsed waves are used to reconstruct 3-D images.
We applied this system for observing the inside of a blood vessel,
and we could obtain 3-D images.

The experimental result indicate that this system will be available
for intravascular endoscopes to image organs in motion or blood
vessels.
