Structural Video Compression of Lectures

Here is Japanese Edition.

Abstract

This research presents a structural video compression of lecture scene. Video images showing that a lecturer talks using OHPs and a pointer consists of three kinds of image information; 1)OHP,2)movement of the pointer and 3) action of the lecturer. Therefore, by detecting each image information, the video images are able to be compressed at ultra-high rate. Experimental results showed that the frame difference among successive images is good proof of OHP change.
