-Research- The virtual studio which composes images from a combination of the images of computer graphics and real images is becoming an increasingly popular method of TV program production. However, the composed images have no shadow in TV program of live broadcast. An audience feels sense of incongruity because the human seems to float above the floor. This paper proposes a new method to create the realistic composite images using the shadow extracted from the real images for the virtual studio. To represent the shadow of human on the floor of the virtual space, the real image of human in virtual studio divides the human image and the shadow image, and the shadow image matching to the color of the virtual space is composed. Next, to represent the shadow of human on the virtual object, the deformed shadow image is projected on the virtual object. The experimental results shows the effectiveness of the proposed method which is enable to represent the shadow by deformation and composition for the virtual studio. |
